California SB 704 – Firearm Barrel Sales

Pursuant to California Senate Bill 704 (SB 704), new requirements apply to the sale and transfer of standalone firearm barrels to California residents.

Effective January 1, 2026:

• All firearm barrel orders placed by California residents must be shipped to a California-licensed Federal Firearms License (FFL) dealer.
• Direct shipment to consumers in California will no longer be permitted.
• Buyers must appear in person at the designated FFL to complete the transfer and take possession of the barrel.

By placing an order, California customers acknowledge that:

• An eligible California FFL must be selected prior to shipment.
• Orders cannot be shipped directly to a residential or non-FFL address.
• Failure to provide valid FFL information may result in order cancellation.
